We restart from... the bathroom
From the growing trend of the bathroom furnishing to the fervor of the ceramic world waiting for Cersaie 2014: some data and a bit of optimism.
With just a little over two months to the start of the 2014 edition of CERSAIE, the biggest and the most important International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings. Cersaie will be held in Bologna from the 22th to the 26th of September, contrariwise almost all the exhibition space was already booked from Companies - Italian and foreign - in the first months of the year.
A motto of confidence showed by companies and operators, amply justified by the recent signs of uprising in the bathroom market. The new president of Assobagno, Mr.Mauro Guzzini, elected on last June 2014, declares that his nomination coincides with the upwising period of the first 4 months of 2014 but that « verily, already in the last quarter of last year, these trends could be noticed ». It is certain that, already on April 2014, by the prestigious Salone del Mobile in Milan, the outgoing president of the Association, Gianluca Marvelli, declared: « Hope restarts also from the Bathroom [...]. There is a more positive atmosphere, there is the wish to do. Companies were great, they brought extraordinary products». Marvelli himself, at the time of passing of the baton to Mr. Guzzini, came even more forward on his declarations: « We finally see the firsts upwising segnals. A feeble but important signal because it marks the first turnaround after so long. It was partially connected to the bonus effects on furnishings, but also to a found confidence by the consumers».
A noticed uprising above all, but not exclusively, on foreign markets. The export - together with the e-commerce promotion as an innovative sales channel and new systems to facilitate the access to credit - represents the focal point of the program presented by Guzzini. The idea is that, to facilitate this delicate phase of upwising of the bathroom furnishing market is fundamental to substain the process of internationalization of the Italian companies.
Parallel also to the ceramic world, news are coming which seems to confirm these restarting signals. On the web site Ceramics of Italy, the institutional brand engaged in the promotion of the ceramic industry of Made in Italy in the world, we read that the bathrooms keep to notice a good level of interest from the Italian consumers, seen as a space in which to cure themselves. From there, data like the ones that indicate in the next three years are explained, parallel to the growth of whom wants to make home restructuring intervents, the majority of who provides to restructure thoughts exactly to the bathroom (26,4%).
In this general context, a Company like DSG Ceramics sees in the International ceramic fair for architecture and bathroom furnishing, Cersaie as the ideal place where to interface both with the foreign market (more that 100.000 visitors present from 157 countries and more than 300 foreign exhibitors) and with the Italian market. The Company specialized in porcelain gres tiles, will present in preview the new Light collection, characterized by a pure color and structured surfaces with big formats. But the event will also be an opportunity for a direct dialogue with a foreign target with a strong style, like for example the Russian style could be (today an important reference for the export of Made in Italy), through the Luxury Room: a space dedicated to projects of interior design through luxury, style and elegance.
